Privacy Policy

Visitor Privacy, Location Data Protection & Security Commitments

1. Geolocation Data & GPS Usage

Location access is strictly optional. When you click "Use My Location", your coordinates (latitude & longitude) are processed in real-time solely to compute proximity distances to listed emergency and district facilities via the Haversine formula. Your precise coordinates are never permanently logged, stored, or tracked in our database.

2. Interactive Mapping (OpenStreetMap)

The interactive map is rendered using OpenStreetMap tile infrastructure and Leaflet. External direction buttons open standard mapping navigation in Google Maps without sharing private user identifiers.

3. User Accounts & Registration

General citizens and visitors are not required to create an account, register, or disclose personal identity to view district services, consult maps, or initiate emergency telephone calls.

4. Cookies & Session Data

DeshSeba does not employ third-party advertising cookies. We only use functional session cookies to remember your language preference (English/Bengali) and provide Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) defense.

5. Correction Reports

If you choose to submit a correction report for an inaccurate facility, optional contact details provided will be used exclusively by administrators to verify the correction and will never be shared with third parties.
